BROCKTON, Mass. – The New England PGA hosted the Thorny Lea Pro-Am on Monday, May 6th at Thorny Lea Golf Club in Brockton, Mass. 34 New England PGA Professionals came out to participate in the event on the beautiful early Spring day. Jeff Martin, PGA (Wollaston GC) claimed his second straight Professional Division title at a New England PGA Pro-Am event this season, shooting an even-par, 70.

Shawn Warren, PGA (Old Marsh CC) claimed second place in the Professional Division, shooting 1-over, 71, and led his team to victory in the 2 BB of 4, 1 Gross +1 Net division, as they shot a combined 14-under. Warren was accompanied by amateurs, Leo Paquette, Tom Bill, and Michael DiPrima.

After carding a bogey on the par-4 first hole and fifth hole, Martin closed out the front nine with birdies on the par-4 sixth hole and par-5 eighth hole to make the turn at an even-par 35. He played steady golf through the back nine, carding par on all the remaining holes to capture the victory.

Warren was 1-over through the opening nine holes with one bogey, one double-bogey, and two birdies. He went even through the back nine with two bogeys and two birdies on the scorecard to finish in second place overall.
