COMPLETE LEADERBOARD

LINCOLN, R.I. – Jeff Martin, PGA (Wollaston GC) and Joe Gilmore teamed up to shoot 5-under par 67 and win the New England PGA Pro-Officer Championship on Thursday at Kirkbrae Country Club. Teams in the best-ball competition were comprised of one NEPGA Professional and one Officer from their facility.

The pair made four birdies without a bogey in a front-9 32 and played the back nine one-under par to post 67 and pick up a one-shot victory.

Martin and Gilmore edged John Dalrymple, PGA (Rockland GC) and Jay Miller, who posted a 4-under 68, by one.

Craig Coombes, PGA (Braintree Municipal) and Joe Kearney posted a net 9-under 63 to take top honors in the net division, edging Martin and Gilmore by a stroke. Rick Finlayson, PGA (Franklin GC) and Jeff Gray tied for third in the net division with John Rainone, PGA (North Kingstown GC) and Bill Alves.

Martin, who shot 3-under par 69 on his own ball, also claimed the top spot in the individual professional division, and was the only individual under par for the day.  Dalrymple finished second after shooting even-par 72 while Rainone and Peter Walsh tied for third at 1-over 73.

The New England PGA thanks Kirkbrae Country Club and head PGA Professional Mike Bradshaw, who opened the doors to his facility to accommodate the Pro-Officer Championship after the event was originally rained out earlier this year.

A big thanks also goes to NEPGA partners Five Star Golf Cars, Tournament Solutions, The Leaf Collaborative, SKYiGolf and Narragansett Beer, who each helped make the day memorable. Five Star Golf Cars ran a closest to the pin contest on the Par 3 17th hole while SKYiGolf demonstrated its Par-3 Hole-In-One cam on the ninth. Narragansett provided ice cold refreshments for participants at the turn, while TLC offered samples of a variety of products. Tournament Solutions not only provided the Championship trophies for the winners, but sent every participant home with a New England PGA logoed duffle bag. Thank you to all our NEPGA partners for such great support!
