Brian Moskevich of Concord Country Club was the only professional to break 70 with a 3 under par 69 leading to a one stroke victory at The Bald Peak Colony Club’s New Hampshire PGA Pro Am on Tuesday. Moskevich rolled in five birdies on the day on his way to the win. Sharing second place at 70 were Jason Malcolm of Sky Meadow and Jay Pollini of The Oaks.

Three Laconia based Professionals tied for fourth including Patrick Hesseltine and Chris Houston of Laconia CC and Todd Rollins of The Ready Golf Center.

The see-saw battle between Malcom and Joe Finemore flipped again with Malcolm now holding a one-point lead in the Davis and Towle Insurance Player of the Year points race with 2 events remaining. Dan Wilkins is holding onto third with an outside shot at the top spot.

This week’s format paired the pros with only one amateur instead of the usual three amateur format. Houston and his partner Steve Pia came in deadlocked with Moskevich and Brian Boyle for team low gross at 5 under par 67. Malcolm and his partner Seth Tebbetts tied the Nashua CC duo of Lewis Pattullo and Jon Dyer for third at 68.

Pollini and Tim Melanson tied with Hesseltine and Curtis Mailloux for first in the best ball net division at 6 under par 66. Four teams tied for third at 68 including Rollins with Tim Callahan, Sam Read and Steven Inglis, Abenaqui’s Jim Schouller with Greg Mason and Laconia’s Dan Wilkins with Randy Pike.

104 Players were treated to an unseasonably warm and sunny day at this spectacular venue which blends panoramic views of both the lakes and the mountains overlooked by The Castle in the Clouds. The golf course is the star of the show, and the staff welcomed the NHPGA with the best in hospitality.
