BOYLSTON, Mass. – The New England Assistants’ Association (NEAA) is happy to announce the introduction of new competitive and networking opportunities for the 2025 season! Highlights of these recent developments include the establishment of an NEAA Spring Meeting, 18-Hole Stroke Play Events, The inaugural NEAA Championship, and the rollout of the NEAA Player of the Year points race. In addition to the expanded in season programming, the NEAA had a busy winter, offering three Trackman Winter Series events in January, February and March, as well as multiple Virtual Hangout sessions with fellow Assistant Professionals.
The Association will kick off their 2025 season with a Spring Meeting at 9:00am on April 17th at Alpine Country Club. The morning session will include discussions from the NEAA Board of Directors and other industry professionals, as well as an open forum amongst Assistant Professionals in attendance. Throughout the remainder of the season, Assistant Professionals in the New England Section will have plenty of opportunity to play with and against their peers in a multitude of formats. Scheduled events for 2025 include 9-hole Skins Games, 18-hole Stroke Play Events, 18-Hole Championship Events, and Blind Draw Pro-Pro competitions. Of these latest additions to the schedule, one stands out among the rest: The first annual NEAA Championship, being held at Dedham Country & Polo Club on Thursday, September 11th. This new chapter in the New England PGA history books will offer an Assistant Professional the chance to be named the inaugural NEAA Champion!
With this schedule expansion comes a structure to measure the individual success of NEAA members, the Player of the Year Points Race. The New England Assistants’ Association Player of The Year Award will be presented annually to an eligible Assistants’ Association professional accumulating the highest point total based on individual performance in NEAA events.
