BOYLSTON, Mass. – The New England PGA Section hosted the 2023 Annual Meeting on Friday, November 17th at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island. New officers were elected to Section Leadership positions during the meeting. Chip Johnson, PGA (Hatherly CC) was named the NEPGA President, Joanne Flynn, PGA (Windham CC) was elected the Section Vice President, while Brendan Walsh, PGA (The Country Club) was named the NEPGA Section Secretary. Past President, Mike Bradshaw, PGA (Kirkbrae CC) moved into the Honorary President position.

The NEPGA also hosted an election for a new Senior District Director. Jim Remy, PGA won the vote and will now serve the Section Seniors.

The day featured reports from Section Officers, which touched on 2023 Section Finances, Tournament and Section Successes, as well as the amazing efforts of PGA REACH New England, The New England PGA Foundation. The NEPGA is looking forward to an eventful 2024 season and will offer educational opportunities for the membership throughout the “off-season”.

The Section will host the NEPGA Mentor Summit on November 28th at The Country Club, Empower Hours through the winter months, and a Teaching & Coaching Summit in the Spring of 2024.

The 2024 schedule is highlighted by our three major championships:

National Car Rental Assistant Championship: July 1-2 at Alpine CC

Senior Championship: July 22-23 at George Wright GC

NEPGA Section Championship: September 3-5 at Tedesco CC and Ferncroft CC

The Section hopes everyone has a wonderful “off-season” and can’t wait to see everyone on the course in 2024!
