A hot, steamy day greeted the 27 teams that came to play at Canterbury Woods Golf Course for the NHC/NEPGA weekly Pro Am. This is the sixth event of the season and saw many hot but happy golfers teeing off.

In the pro contest Cory Mansfield of Derryfield came in with a 4 under 68 to lead the way and take first place. Bill Andrews of Portsmouth came in with a 3 under 69 to secure second place. Dan Wilkins of Laconia came in third with a 1 under 71. Nick Desjardins form Nashua, Brett Smestad from Rochester, & Jay Pollini from Ridgewood all came in with even par 72’s to tie for fourth place. Todd Rollins of Laconia came in with a 73 for seventh place.

In the team contest the team from Nashua Country Club with Professional Nick Desjardins with teammates Garret Oliver, Jon Dyer, & Jeff Hill tied the team from Ridgewood with Professional Jay Pollini and teammates Tim Melanson, Bobby Marulli, & Thomas Hickey at 16 under par 128. That was enough to share the first place team honors. Mansfield led his team from Derryfield shooting a 13 under 131. Ben Stone with his team from Pembroke Pines, and Mitch Jefferson’s team from Rochester tied for 4th with 12 under 122’s.

Next Monday the circuit travels to Stonebridge CC for their event.  Followed by Keene, then Beaver Meadow.
