A fall like breezy day greeted the 16 teams that came to play Souhegan Woods Golf Course in the NHC/NEPGA weekly pro am series. The course was in great condition and the greens had some speed to them, so coupled with the wind the course played tough.

In the Pro contest Dan Gillis of Nabnasset Lake CC and Todd Rollins of Laconia came in at 2 under par 70’s to tie for the top spot. Three behind in 3rd place was Dan Wilkins of Laconia with a 73, followed by Matt Arvanitis of SNHU and Jay Polinni of Ridgewood who both netted a 74 and tying for 4th.

In the team competition three teams came in at 14 under par to tie for first. With a card out using the USGA Tie Breaking System the team from Rochester ended qualifying for the Mouhegan Sun Pro Am this fall. The team was lead by Mitch Jefferson with teammates Sean Johnson, Bobby Williams, and Jim Cilley. The other two teams tied at minus 14 were both from Laconia. Dan Wilkins with team Steve Wainwright, Tom McCoy, and Eric McCoy. Todd Rollins lead the other team with his team Tim Callahan, Tim O’Connell, and Bill Raney. Nice playing.

The series travels to Montcalm CC in Enfield next week followed by Cochecho the following week.
