A beautiful summery day greeted the 29 teams (116 players) at Montcalm CC in Enfield. A couple of years ago we had a frost delay at this same time a Montcalm. Today was far from that. The temps rose into the 80’s with a bright sun shining on the players. The course was in spectacular shape and the greens rolling perfectly. Todays team format is 1 BB Gross or 1 BB Net.
The gross contest saw the team from About Golf with Pro Matt Delois come in with an 11 under 61 to take the top spot. His team consisted of Joe Bowker, Jim Cilley, and Dan Doyle. Second place had two teams tie with the score of 64. They were the team from Sunapeewith Pro Aaron Kingsley and ams Jef Steingrebe, Bob Foehl, and Mike Quinn. The other team came from Atkinson led by Dan Kish and teammates Ben Whitaker, Trevor Sonovick, and Kieran Altieri.
The net division had the team from Whip Poor Will shot a 12 under 60 to take first place. The team was lead by Jim Gunnare with teammates Pete Conti, Michael Jonis, and Al Moretti. Second place went to the home team from Montcalm who came in with a 61. That team was lead by Steve Rogers and his team of Alex Bitler, George Burnes, and Todd Trespess.
In the pro contest Sam Cody of Stonebridge come in at 4 under par 68 to take 1st place. He topped his round off with an by holing it out on the 18th hole for an eagle. Jay Pollini of Ridgewood shot an even par 72 to end up in 2nd spot. Taylor Stout of Nashua and Matt Delois of About Golf both shot a 73 to tie for the 3rd spot. 5th place was a 4 way tie with the score of 75. Two players tied for the 9th spot with the score of 77, they were Allison Mitzel of Laconia and Cory Mansfield of Derryfield.
We want to thank Montcalm CC for a great day. The weather was perfect and the course conditions were great. There were many comments on how nice the greens rolled. They also had a tasty buffet at for the players at the end of their round. Thank you ladies for all your hard work with that.
Next week the tour stops at Nashua CC for their pro am were there will again be a full field.
