The NHC Pro Am series is back at it this week at Rochester Country Club. A hot steamy day greeted the thirty-three teams that showed up to compete in the 1 Best Ball Net and 1 Best Ball Gross combined event.
The pro divisions saw some good scoring on this hot day. Vespers Rich Berberian Jr. shot a great round of 8 under par 64 to best the 33 PGA Professionals. Three back with a 5 under par 67 was Matt Arvanitis of SNHU. Dan Wilkens of Laconia continued his stellar play this season shooting a 2 under par 70 to take the third spot. Brett Smestad, PGA Assistant at Rochester and Jason Malcolm of Nashua finished with a 1 under par 71 to tie for the 4th spot. Rochester Head PGA Professional Mitch Jefferson came in with an even par 72 to take home 6th place. Great play gentlemen, congratulations.
In the 1 BB Gross & 1 BB Net format Rich Berberian and his team of Griffin Brown, Ryan Friel, and Jeff Monahan shot an impressive 18 under par 126 to lead the pack. Jason Malcolm of Nashua along with his teammates Tommy Ethier, Krystal Knight & Alexandra Tomasso finished with a score of 17 under par 127 to take the second spot. Matt Arvanitis of SNHU and his team of Matt Burroughs, Austin Fox, and Steve Johnston took 3rd place with a 15 under par 129 combined score. The team from Atkinson CC finished with an 11 under par 133 for the 4th spot. The team consisted of PGA Professional Danny Kish, with team mates Tyler Doucette, Ron Trieff, and Tony Castiglione. There were 5 teams that came at minus 10 to round out the top ten.
Next week the circuit travels to Derryfield CC for the Pro Lady.
