The weathermen are rarely right, and they proved that today. It was “supposed” to rain all morning, but it barely rained on the golfers. The NHC/NEPGA Pro Am went on as scheduled and all the teams showed up. Todays team format was 1 bb gross or 1 bb net.
The Professional Division saw Rich Berberian Jr. of Vesper shoot a 2 under 70 to tie for 1st place with Sam Read of Den Brae. Dan Kish of Atkinson came in with an even par 72 to secure 3rd place alone. Sam Cody of Stonebridge, Barry Pearson of Keene, and Mitch Jefferson of Rochester shot 1 over 73’s to tie for 4th place. Taylor Stout of Nashua and Jay Pollini came in with 74’s to tie for 7th. Cory Mansfield of Derryfield, Jim Gunnare of Whip Poop Will, and Dan Wilkins of Laconia all scored 76’s to tie for 9th.
The 1 bb gross contest saw the team from Rochester led by PGA Pro Mitch Jefferson with team Tyan Martel, Sean Johnson, and Josh Parker came in at 8 under 64 to take the top spot. Dan Kish of Atkins with team Allison Wilkins, Kieran Altieri, and Scott Killam shot 7 under to come in second alone.
In the 1 bb net contest Sam Cody of Stonebridge led his team of Mike Hughes, Brennan Hughes, and Wayne Bortle to a 12 under 60 to take the 1st place. Dan Wilkins and his team from Laconia with Steve Wainwright, Mike Handrahan, and Randy Pike shot an 11 under 61 to come in 2nd.
