Fall is here. As I got in my car this morning on the way to Cochecho CC, the temperature read 49 degrees. By the time I got there it was 52. As the sun rose the temps rose quickly and it turned out to be a beautiful fall day. Twenty-eight teams, 112 players, made the trek to Dover to play in the pro am this September 27th. Todays format is 1 BB Gross or 1 BB Net. Highlight of the day, Raymond Bromark or Derryfield CC aced the 204 yard par 3 ninth hole.

The pro division saw Dan Wilkins of Laconia come in with a 3 under par 67 to take top honors. Dan made 6 birdies offset by 3 bogies to come in with that score.  Jay Pollini of Ridgewood, Steve Hausmann of Amherst, and Rich Berberian Jr. of Vesper all came in with even par 70’s to tie for 2nd place, Rico Riciputi of Wentworth by the Sea and Eric Sandstrum of Keene came in with a 72 to end up tied for 5th. Jason Sedan of Lake Winnipesaukee, Mitch Jefferson of Rochester, and Steve Poremba of Derryfield all shot 74 to tie for 7th. There were 5 players tied for 10th with 75’s.

The 1 BB Gross contest the home team from Cochecho, led by PGA Professional Tim Loch and his teammates Dave Sullivan, Kurt Eddins, and Brian Casey come in with a 7 under par 63. Tying for 1st place was the team from Vesper led by PGA Professional Rich Berberian Jr. and team Jeff Monahan, Ryan Friel, and Simon Roberts. There were 3 teams tied at 64 in the 3rd place spot.

The 1 BB Net had the team from Amherst with PGA Professional Steve Hausmann and his team of James Rodrigues, Pat Dion, and Russell Michaud come in with a 57 net to take 1st place. The team from Wentworth by the Sea and PGA Professional, Rico Riciputi and his team of Mike Pagan, Shawn Piper, and Mark Fichera come in with a 10 under 60 to tie for 2nd place. Tied with them was the teams from Laconia with PGA Professional Dan Wilkins, ams Mike Handrahan, Randy Pike, & Nick Sceggell and the team from Keene and PGA Professional Eric Sandstrum, ams Ken Goebel, Bob Lefebvre, and Rick Wisell.

As the season winds down the next stop is Bald Peak Colony for the event next Monday.
