FITCHBURG, Mass. – Shawn Warren (Falmouth CC) leads the NEPGA contingent at the 111th Mass Open through two rounds at Oak Hill Country Club. Warren is currently tied for fifth in the tournament, three shots back of the leader, and is one of nine NEPGA professionals to make the 36-hole cut of top 50 plus ties.
Brad Adamonis (TPC Boston) leads the Mass Open after rounds of 66 and 68 (134) while amateur Ben Spitz (George Wright GC) sits in second after rounds of 70 and 65 (135). A complete list of all NEPGA professionals and their scores can be found below.

Warren finished his first round yesterday with an even-par 70, posting 16 pars along with one birdie and one bogey. In today’s second round, Warren continued his consistent play in today’s round with just a single bogey on the card compared to four birdies for a 67 (-3).
Rich Berberian Jr. (Vesper CC) followed his first round 71 (+1) with a one-under 69 in today’s round to sit at even par and tied for 12th. Berberian has played holes 15, 16, and 18 at six over par through two rounds and the rest of the course at six-under.
Jeff Martin (Wollaston GC) carded a first round 72 followed by a second round 69 to sit at 141 (+1) in the tournament and tied for 16th. Martin has recorded an eagle in each round so far, with his first-round eagle coming on the par-5 seventh hole and second round eagle on the par-4 second hole.
After an opening round of 72, Eric Barlow (Winchester CC) continued his hot play with a round of 71 to finish with a 36-hole total of 143. The Winchester CC professional is tied for 29th heading into tomorrow’s final round at Oak Hill.
Blackstone National GC’s Bob Bruso finished his fist round at five-over 75, but caught fire in today’s round, carding 69 (-1) for a two-day total of 144 for a tie of 34th. Bruso birdied his first three holes of the second round and added another birdie with a single bogey and double bogey for his one-under round.
NEPGA veteran Kirk Hanefeld signed for respective rounds of 73 and 72 for a two-round total of 145 to finish inside the top 50 in a tie for 38th. Hanefeld has recorded five birdies, 10 bogeys, and 21 pars in his two rounds.
Burlington CC’s David Jankowski carded 72-73-145 in his two rounds of the Mass Open for a share of 38th. The Newport, Vermont native has six birdies, 19 pars, nine bogeys, and one double bogey through two rounds.
Portland CC’s Dan Venezio, who is playing in this month’s Korn Ferry Tour event in Maine alongside Warren, fired a 71 in the first round before a second round 74. Venezio sat at five-over in the second round through 15 holes but added a birdie coming in to safely make the cut at +5 in a tie for 38th.
Boomer Erick (Boston GC) handed in consecutive rounds of 73 to finish on the cut line of 146 (+6) in a tie for 48th. The Boston GC head professional played his first nine holes today at four-over to move to +7 for the tournament. After a few pars, Erick played his final four holes at -1 to move under the cut line.
A trio of NEPGA professionals finished the tournament at 147 (+7) to miss the cut by one shot: Nick Jagoe (Wanumetonomy G&CC), John Hickson (Cape Neddick CC), and Frank Dully (Kernwood CC)
Winchester CC professional Seul-Ki Hawley made history as the first female to qualify and compete in the Mass Open. Hawley finished fourth at the 2019 NEPGA Section Championship to qualify for the Open. She fired rounds of 85 and 76 to finish at 161 for a tie of 137th.
