Lily Oksanen joined the PGA New England Section on Tuesday, February 23, 2022, as the Membership and Communications Manager. She joins the NEPGA team with a strong background in media relations, event management and member service. Her expertise in these areas will assist the Section with all member events, special projects, and overall communication to our membership.

“We are very excited to have Lily join our team,” said Executive Director, Michael Higgins. “Her experience will elevate our staff’s ability to conduct the best member events and programs for our PGA Professionals possible.”

Oksanen comes to the NEPGA from the New England Revolution Major League Soccer team where she worked in media relations for four seasons. In addition to her role with the Revolution, Lily developed a sports related podcast named Glory to the Game.

“I am thrilled to be joining a great team and I look forward to contributing to the fantastic work the New England PGA is doing. 2022 promises to be an exciting year,” said Oksanen.

Prior to her time with the New England Revolution, Oksanen worked with the Major League Lacrosse, Boston Cannons as part of their marketing and media team. In this role she facilitated interviews, captured team practices through photography, and even developed a MLL All-Star Game video commercial for the Cannons.

Oksanen is a Massachusetts native who grew up learning to play the game of golf. Some of her most fond memories involve attending the Deutsche Bank Open and learning how to swing a club at the Charter Oak Country Club Summer Camp.

Oksanen studied Digital Media and Sports Communication at Lasell University and completed a certificate with the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, learning from industry professionals in sports, radio, and TV.
