Foxborough, Mass. — On a cool and cloudy June 18th, with the threat of rain lingering but never arriving, Malcolm Oliver of Weston Golf Club delivered a spotless 3-under-par 69 to win the 2025 Massachusetts Chapter Championship at Foxborough Country Club.

Oliver recorded birdies on the 3rd and 4th holes to jump out to a quick start. He followed that up by driving the green on the 7th, setting up an easy two-putt birdie. From that point forward, Oliver held steady, making eleven consecutive pars.

Asked about his back nine, Oliver said, “The swing kind of left me a bit on the back nine, but I was able to scrape it around, hit some good lag putts, and make some solid par saves. It was good enough to get the job done.”

When asked about his victory at the Chapter Championship, Oliver stated, “It was my first win like this — it’s good to get it.”

Finishing one shot back was Bob Bruso (Worcester Country Club), who recorded five birdies—tied for the most in the field—to shoot 70 and claim solo second. Jeff Martin (Wollaston GC) followed in third with a 1-under 71. Three players tied for fourth at even-par 72: Frank Dully (Kernwood CC), who also made five birdies; Nathan Myers (Ipswich CC), and Liam Friedman (Wollaston GC. Myers had the shot of the day, holing out for eagle on the short par-4 14th.

Foxborough Country Club provided a challenging test for the players, with great conditions and fast greens which offered a fair but challenging setup. Special thanks to Host PGA Professional Steve Field and the Foxborough staff for hosting the Chapter.

The Massachusetts Chapter also thanks its partners for supporting this year’s championship: Branded Bills, Cobra Puma Golf, Comparion Insurance Agency, Five Star Golf Cars, the PGA Tour, and Tournament Solutions.
