MARSHFIELD, Mass.- Jeff Martin and Liam Friedman, both from Wollaston GC, teamed up on Tuesday to fire a 6-under 64 to win the Massachusetts Chapter Spring Meeting Pro-Pro held at Marshfield Country Club.
The 12:00pm shotgun start got off to a rainy start as the skies opened right as play began. Luckily the showers were short lived and blue skies prevailed for the remainder of the round. Martin and Friedman began their day on the 5th hole and made their only bogey of the day on the 395-yard par 4. After making par on the 6th, they went on a torrid stretch making six birdies in seven attempts on holes 7 through 13. They then put the exclamation point on their round making birdie on the 4th hole which was the last of their day.
The next spot on the leaderboard was a crowed one, with four teams finishing tied for second place with a score of 4-under 66. Those teams were; Matt Baran and Sean Edmonds, Joel Jenkins and Chris Edmonds, Bryan Kienke and Zach Mahan, and Jeff Wojtusik and Tim Watroba.
Thank you to Marshfield Country Club’s General Manager James Antonelli, PGA, Head Professional Alec Vozzella, PGA, and Superintendent Tom Harrington for hosting the Chapter’s Spring Meeting and Pro-Pro!
