Step Up to the Tee, Memorial Day Weekend, May 22-25
BOYLSTON, Mass. – This Memorial Day weekend, the New England PGA & PGA REACH New England have set out on a mission to positively impact the lives of the families of Veterans and first responders through the game of golf. We are partnering with PGA of America Golf Professionals across New England to raise awareness and funds that will support the lives of our nation’s heroes and their families. Led by Folds of Honor and supported by PGA REACH, Patriot Golf Days helps fund educational scholarships for the spouses and children of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders. Since its inception, this initiative has provided over 25,000 scholarships to families nationwide. Below are some ways New England PGA of America Golf Professionals can get involved and become part of this impactful effort:
- Invite golfers to round up their purchases or green fees
- Promote donations throughout the month of May via member newsletter, member emails, word of mouth or social media
- Host a Patriot Golf Days tournament
- Organize a HERO100 Golf Marathon
Patriot Golf Days runs throughout May and culminates Memorial Day weekend.
