WORCESTER, Mass. – PGA REACH New England, the New England PGA Section’s 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity organization (EIN 81-4172947) hosted the 2023 REACH Classic on Monday, June 19th at Worcester Country Club in Worcester, Mass. The REACH Classic is PGA REACH New England’s sole golf tournament fundraiser that pulls together golfers who believe in our mission of positively impacting lives through the game of golf. The REACH Classic supports PGA REACH New England and its three philanthropic pillars: Diversity & Inclusion, Veterans, and Youth Development.

100 players came out to play in the 18-Hole Stroke Play, 1 BB of 4 Gross and 1 BB of 4 Net tournament in support of PGA REACH New England.

Tyler Lagasse, Gold Medal Special Olympian, joined the day and kicked off the event with a phenomenal ceremonial first tee shot. Rick Ferguson, U.S.M.C Veteran and PGA HOPE Worcester Graduate also made a special appearance at the event, speaking to the participants at the close of the day about what PGA REACH New England means to him and how much their participation means in the growth of programming for PGA REACH New England.

PGA REACH New England is proud to announce with the support of all of our participants in the event, silent auction, donors, and Worcester Country Club, the event raised over $41,000.00 to PGA REACH New England. This money raised will help the Foundation continue to grow the game of golf within our three pillars.

The all-amateur team of Tom Galvin, Dan Herman, Matt Clancy, and James Clancy took home the top spot in the 1 BB of 4, Net division, shooting a 12-under, 58. As a team they carded 13 birdies.

The all-amateur Worcester Country Club team of Brandon Parker, Jeff Zidonis, Steve DeMartino and James Ciociolo took home first place in the 1 BB of 4, Gross division shooting an 8-under, 62 on the day.
