Greenland, N.H. – The New England PGA hosted the 2022 Portsmouth Pro-Am on Monday, May 2 in Greenland. N.H. 43 teams traveled to compete in what started out as a warm morning on the water. The sun hid behind the clouds for the afternoon crew as the temperatures dropped and the wind picked up for the early May Pro-Am.

Jay Pollini, PGA (Ridgewood Country Club) and Frank Dully, PGA (Kernwood Country Club) shared the first place title in the Professional Division, shooting 72 (E) on the day. Cory Mansfield, PGA (Derryfield Country Club) shot a 73 (+1) for third place. Jon Ellis, PGA (The Oaks Golf Links) and Greg Sandell, PGA (The Golf Club of New England) tied for fourth place, shooting 74’s  (+2) on the day. Matt Lombard, PGA (North Andover Country Club) and Shawn Warren, PGA (Falmouth Country Club – ME) took home sixth place shooting 75’s (+3).

In team play, David Grygiel, PGA led his team from Tee ‘N Tee Golfland, to a first-place finish in the 2 best ball of 4, 1 Gross + 1 Net score. The team that consisted of Tim Flaherty, Sokha Meas, and Blake Cunningham combined for a total score of 128 (-16). Finishing behind them, in second place and shooting nine-under (135) was the Derryfield Country Club team of Cory Mansfield, PGA, Dan Arvanitis, Scott Kenniston, and Tim Leonard. David Dionne, PGA led his team from Beverly Golf & Tennis Club to a third place team finish, shooting 136 (-8). The team consisted of Chris Piumelli, Tom Sideri, and Ken Ramsay

The Section hosts  the Pro-Pro Match Play Championship on May 9 & May 10 at LeBaron Hills Country Club in Lakeville, Mass.
