Jay Pollini (The Oaks) and Danny Kish (The Indoor Golf Club) topped the leaderboard for Low Professional at this week’s NHPGA Pro Am at Pease GC in Portsmouth NH. Both fired a 3 under par 68 to lead the field followed by a pair of 69’s by Rochester CC’s Mitch Jefferson and Laconia CC’s Patrick Hesseltine. Ricky Gray (Sky Meadow) Billy Andrews (Portsmouth CC) and Dan Wilkins (Laconia CC) all tied for 5th at 70. Pollini was able to widen his lead in the Davis and Towle Insurance Player of the Year standings to 31 points over number two Cory Mansfield who was competing in the New England Section Senior Championship.

In the Pro Am Gross competition, Trevor Moore’s Beaver Meadow team including amateurs Andrew Surprenant, who lit it up with a 64 on his own ball, Eric Saucier and Sam Maurice were winners with a 12 under par 59. The Rochester Duo of Jefferson and Brett Smestad led their teams to a tie for second at 62.

Portsmouth CC, led by Matt Baran and Bailey Nangle’s Owl’s Nest Vineyard Course team tied for the top spot in the Net division both coming in at 12 under par 59. Baran had help from John Staples, Robert Renshaw and Pat McMulty Sr. while Nangle was assisted by Nick Varin, Ryan Lappetito and Mike Bownes. Chris Houston’s Laconia CC group was third at 61.

A picture perfect New Hampshire Seacoast day saw 124 players take to the fairways and greens at the Pease Golf Course which were in fantastic shape thanks to Superintendent EJ Chea and his crew. Next week is the Chapter’s major event at the beautiful North Conway Country Club where we will be crowning our 2026 NHPGA Champion and Senior Champion. It is the highlight of the season for our hard working PGA Professionals and Associates who look forward to getting away to the North Country for a few days with their families and hang out with their friends in the Chapter.
