Nantucket, Mass. – The 2026 New England PGA Sankaty Head Pro-Am delivered a memorable afternoon of competition between 25 teams on Thursday, May 28, at the historic Sankaty Head Golf Club on Nantucket. Players were greeted by mostly dry and cool conditions throughout the day, with temperatures reaching 64 degrees in the late morning before settling into the upper 50s for the afternoon shotgun start at 1:30 PM. A mix of sunshine and passing clouds, paired with light coastal breezes, created ideal scoring conditions for the field. The event featured a 2 Best Balls of 4 format, combining one gross and one net score on each hole, with the stipulation that the two scores could not come from the same player. The format encouraged aggressive play, and several teams took advantage with an impressive display of birdies and eagles around the iconic Nantucket layout.

Claiming the championship at an outstanding 18-under par was the team of Jeff Martin, PGA Damien Coffey (a), Jon Chin (a), and Brad Porter (a) representing Wollaston Golf Club. After finishing runner-up in the 2025 edition of the event, Wollaston returned determined to finish the job this year — and they did so in dominant fashion. Their round was highlighted by eagles on holes 5, 8, 10, and 17, along with birdies on 1, 2, 4, 7, 11, and finish strong with 2 straight on 15 and 16 to secure the long-awaited victory.

Finishing in second place at 15-under par was the Hyannisport Club team of Dave Einstein, PGA Chad Crocker (a), Brendan Shields (a), and Nick Bowes (a). Hyannisport produced one of the day’s most explosive stretches of scoring, recording eagles on holes 4, 5, and three in a row on holes 14, 15, and 16, while adding birdies on 1, 3, 8, 9, 12, 13, and 17.

Rounding out the top three at 14-under par was the Marshfield Country Club team of Peter Ruymann, PGA Tucker Kabat (a), Wil Eddy (a), and Ryan Sherwood (a). Their strong performance featured eagles on 5, 7, 8, and 17, complemented by birdies on 9, 10,16, with a hot streak on holes 2 through 4.

Jake Pleczkowski, PGA of Sankaty Head Golf Club captured the Individual Professional Division title with an impressive round of 68 (-3). Competing on his home course, Pleczkowski put his local knowledge and experience to excellent use, navigating the challenging layout with confidence throughout the day. His round featured birdies on holes 2, 4, and 14. Finishing the front with two birdies in a row on 8 and 9 helped him separate himself from the field and secure the victory in front of his home club.
