Dorset, VT – While the first few tee times endured a touch of much needed rain in an otherwise dry summer, the day soon turned into another beautiful sunny Vermont summer day for the final Pro Am of the season at Dorset Field Club. For the second time this season Dorset Field Club hosted the Vermont Chapter, after playing host to the Chapter Championship earlier this summer. It was a fantastic turn out, as it always is in Dorset, with 28 teams registered and competing for one of the biggest purses of the year.

It was the host club Dorset Field Club, lead by Assistant Professional Susan Fasoldt, who took top spot with one of the best scores in the Pro Am format with a staggering 17-under par team score! In second place, after some great play from their pro, Dustin Ribolini, The Quechee Club posted 13-under par. Rounding out the top three was Jason Sherman’s Kwini Club squad who posted a solid 8-under. In a tie for fifth place were David Jankowski’s Golf Garage squad, and John Paul’s Kwiniaska Golf Club team. Some really great playing from all the teams involved yesterday.

On the individual professional side, it was one of the tighter leaderboards we have seen all season. With 28 professionals competing, the top 12 spots were separated by only 5 shots. Taking first place, in a tie at 1-under, were Dustin Ribolini from the Quechee Club and chapter champion David Jankowski. In third place, still in his first season with the chapter, was Ryan Howard who posted an even par day. Susan Fasoldt from Dorset, Matt Arvanitis from SNHU, Curt Goldsberry from the Quechee Club, and Michael Amendola from Williston Golf Club all played wonderfully and posted 1-over scores and a tie for 4th place.

It was a wonderful day that started with some rain and finished with another mid 70’s sunny afternoon, topped with a rainbow over the course as action began down in Dorset. Events like these would not be possible with the support from host clubs. Everyone at Dorset Field Club was fantastic in hosting the Vermont Chapter again this season. A special shout out to Patrick Berry, Susan Fasoldt, the pro shop staff, and all the outside staff who worked so diligently in making the day run as smoothly as it did.

Next up, the Vermont Chapter heads to the Club at Spruce for the Pro-Pro championship on September 8th.
