Not one, but two Holes in One highlighted the action at the NH Chapter Pro Am at Rochester Country Club this week. First, PGA Professional Lewis Pattullo (Nashua CC) aced the 3rd hole, the first one for the Pros this season. Then, playing in the group directly behind him, amateur Mike Giannetto (Keene CC) dunked one on the 16th hole for the first amateur ace of the season. This happened as the stories of the RCC Member-Member Event over the weekend were being told during which there were two aces on the same hole. Something special is going on in Rochester NH.

Some really good rounds were played as well. Jay Pollini (The Oaks) continued his dominant season with another win by firing a 3 under par 69 to take Low Pro honors on the day. Ricky Gray (Sky Meadow), host Mitch Jefferson (Rochester CC), and Boothbay Harbor’s Allan Lockwood all tied for second at 70 while Cory Mansfield (Derryfield CC) rounded out the top 5 with a 71. Pollini now holds a 72-point lead in the Davis and Towle Insurance Player of the Year Race with no signs of letting up. Dan Wilkins (Laconia CC) currently holds the 2nd spot just 2 points ahead of Mansfield.

Matt Arvanitis (SNHU) and his amateur partners picked up another solid win in the Pro-Am Team Competition. Arvanitis was joined by Mitch Cormier, Sam Maurice and Andrew Surprenant as the team went low with a 14 under par 130 in the combined gross and net format. Ricky Gray’s Sky Meadow squad followed with a 12 under par 132. Pollini and his Oaks group was 3rd just one back.

Thanks to host Professionals Mitch Jefferson and Brett Smestad, Superintendent John Clark and the entire staff at Rochester CC for inviting the NH Chapter to their fantastic facility. It is always a popular stop on our schedule.

Next week we head to the picturesque Omni Mount Washington Resort for our northernmost trip of the year, and a favorite of many.
