FALMOUTH, MASS – Sacconnesset Golf Club’s glamor was on full display Wednesday, as it played host to the Cape Cod Chapters third Pro-Am event of the 2024 season. It was a beautiful day in Falmouth, but the course still showed its teeth despite the favorable weather conditions.

Matt Baran, PGA and his team from The Ridge Club posted an impressive 9-under total in the 2 Best Ball of 4 format, but they were not alone at the top of the leaderboard. Trevor England, PGA and his Sacconnesset crew used their local knowledge to match the 9-under mark and take home a share of first place.

Andrew Stolze, PGA (The Club at New Seabury) and his amateur counterparts rounded out the podium, as they fired a score of 7-under to secure solo third place.

Stolze started his day on the 16th hole and came out firing, notching two early eagles (Hole #18, Hole #2) to get to 5-under through his first six holes. Although he cooled off coming down the stretch, Stolze finished the day as the only competitor in red figures, carding a 1-under par 71 to take the individual professional title.

Gregg Richbourg (Cape Cod National), Shayne Sakson (Ocean Edge Golf Club), and Matt Baran (The Ridge Club) were all tied for second in the individual professional competition, shooting matching 3-over par 75’s around the difficult layout.

On behalf of the entire Cape Cod Chapter, thank you to Sacconnesset Golf Club and professionals Doug Errhalt, Trevor England, and EJ Baracchini for being fantastic hosts. We would also like to thank our partner for the day, Boxto Golf and Craig Cowles!

Coming up next on the Cape Cod Chapter schedule is Hyannisport Pro-Pro on Wednesday, May 29th.
