BOYLSTON, Mass. — Zack Sweet, PGA of Cape Cod National Golf Club headlines the list of 2024 Cape Cod Chapter Award Winners as the Gary Philbrick Golf Professional of the Year.
Sweet currently serves as the Head Golf Professional at Cape Cod National GC and is entering his 7th season in this role, and 11th year at the club.
Sweet prides himself on excelling in his role as a Golf Professional. His priorities include mentoring fellow professionals, growing and teaching the game of golf, being an ambassador for his club membership, pursuing educational opportunities, and building his brand and representation of the PGA. It is evident that he is passionate about the game of golf, the industry, and the core values that the game represents.
Sweet is also a dedicated member of the New England PGA and the Cape Cod Chapter. He is currently serving as the Chapter’s President and sits on the Section’s education committee. He is a frequent host of NEPGA events, hosting both the Cape Cod Cup and a Cape Week Pro-Am in recent seasons. Involvement and participation in the leadership for the Chapter, Section, and Association is incredibly important to Sweet. He views this as an opportunity to give back to his colleagues and to continue to enhance the brand of the PGA.
In addition to his off-course contributions, Sweet had a fruitful playing season in 2023. He won the Chapter’s Match Play Bracket Championship and finished 4th in the Dutch Wessner Player of the Year standings.
Sweet is one of five individuals to earn recognition for their service and dedication to their profession as the Cape Cod Chapter announced its full slate of 2024 award winners. The Chapter looks forward to celebrating these recipients throughout the 2024 season and at the 2024 NEPGA Awards Banquet.
