South Claims Victory in Inaugural NEAA Ryder Cup
Following the meeting, attendees headed to Worcester Country Club, the historic home of the inaugural Ryder Cup in 1927, for the NEAA’s first-annual North vs. South Ryder Cup competition.
The event brought assistant professionals together for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie, featuring a combination of nine-hole alternate-shot matches and nine-hole four-ball matches. With bragging rights on the line, both teams battled throughout the day in a closely contested competition.
In the end, the South team secured the victory by a final score of 8.5-7.5, narrowly edging out the North in a memorable finish at one of New England golf’s most historic venues.
The Ryder Cup once again provided a great opportunity for assistant professionals from across the region to connect, compete, and celebrate their shared passion for the game.
