FRANKLIN, Mass. – Three teams claimed a share of the 2022 NEPGA Pro-Officer Invitational title on Monday, August 8th at Franklin Country Club. The Franklin Country Club team of Rick Finlayson, PGA and David Erickson as well as the teams of Finlayson and Erik Marr, and Sterling National’s team of Matthew Bradbury, PGA and Brendan Roy combined to shoot best ball scores of -4, 67s to finish on top of the leaderboard. The three teams took two-shot victories over the Crystal Lake team, of Robert Hardy, PGA and Jay Miller, the Wollaston GC teams of Jeff Martin, PGA and Brendan Glynn and Martin and Ed Merritt who shot best ball scores of -2, 69 to share fourth place.

Three teams also claimed first place in the net best ball division. Finlayson and Eric Dugas as well as Finlayson and Marr and the Tournament Solutions team of Joe Rocha and Brendan McCarthy, paired up to shoot net best ball scores of -7.

The NEPGA welcomed partners from Five Star Golf Cars (EZ-GO/CUSHMAN/TEXTRON), Donald Ross, and Tournament Solutions. Representatives from all three partners joined the NEPGA Members for a wonderful day of golf.

Finlayson and Erickson posted a birdie on the fourth hole to finish the front nine 1-under. Three additional birdies on holes 11, 15 and 18 finished them 3-under on the back for the final best ball -4, 67.

Finlayson and Marr were even through the front nine, trading two birdies with two bogeys. They birdied holes 11 and 12 and a bogey on 13 put them at one under with five holes to play. The duo birdied the 15th hole and an eagle on the 18th helped lift them to a share of the first place slot.

The Sterling National team of Bradbury and Roy started the day on the 9th hole, they carded birdies on holes 11, 12 and 15 to help put them at 2-under with nine holes to play. They went two under on the final nine holes with another two birdies to claim a share of first place at 4-under overall.

Three teams also claimed a share of fourth place with two-under scores of 69: the Crystal Lake team of Robert Hardy, PGA and Jay Miller, the Wollaston GC teams of Jeff Martin, PGA and Brendan Glynn, and Martin and Ed Merritt.

Finlayson and Dugas started on the first hole and finished the front nine at +1 in the net division. They carded six birdies and an eagle on 14 on the back nine to finish 7-under overall for a share of the first-place spot in the net division.

Finlayson also paired up with Marr to claim a share of first place in the net division. They shot 1-under on the front nine with birdies on holes four and eight. They went on to card two birdies and two eagles on the back to finish -7 overall.

Rocha and McCarthy started the day on the 10th hole. The carded eight birdied and one bogey to finish with a share of first place, 7-under, in the net division.

The Cyprian Keyes team of Scott Hickey, PGA and Mark Eldridge shared fourth place in the net division with the Franklin Country Club team of Finlayson and Erickson who shot 6-under.
