BOYLSTON, Mass. – The New England PGA Section hosted the second annual Parent-Child Scramble event on Thursday, July 15th at Cyprian Keyes GC. The Parent-Child event allowed PGA Professionals to invite one of their children, or one of their parents, to compete in a two-player scramble. For those competing with a child, there were three age divisions: ages 18+ (grouped with Pro + Parent teams), ages 13-17, and ages 12 and under. The event was a great opportunity for NEPGA Professionals to spend the day with family!

They went on to birdie holes 12 through 14, all par-4’s, the par-4 17th hole, and closed out the round with a birdie on the par-5 18th hole.

The Carlson team also started the round on the first hole. They birdied holes 2 through 4, posted a bogey on the par-4 5th hole, and carded two more birdies on holes 7 and 9 to make the turn at 4-under. Seven birdies on the back nine, including par-4 holes 12 through 15 lifted the duo to the 11-under finish in a tie for first place.

The Schouller’s kicked off the event on the par-5 18th hole. They birdied holes 1 through 4 and traded a bogey and birdie on 7 and 8 to make the turn at 4-under. Five birdies and 1 eagle on the par-4 14th hole gave the duo the 11-under finish and a share of the title.
