BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont Chapter’s Burlington Pro-Am ended in a tie atop the leaderboard. Burlington Country Club (Jankowski) and Vermont National Country Club (Scrimgeour) both shot 12-under 130 to share the victory.

Jankowski, playing on his home course, was joined by his partners Jed Dousevicz, Jim Crook, and Chaney Noyes.  After making birdie on their first hole; the team caught fire at the end of the front 9 making three eagles in their last four holes.  They followed that up with eagles on the 11th and 13th to complete their round of 12-under 130.

Pete Scrimgeour was joined on the Vermont National CC Team by Heather Niquette, Randy Niquette, and Michael Gorges.  The made four eagles and eight birdies on their way to shooting 12-under par.

Scrimgeour’s impressive day continued as he also took home low professional honors for the day shooting an even par 71.  His round got off to a fast start as he poured in back-to-back birdies to start his day.  After playing the 4th and 5th holes in 3-over par he bounced back by maing birdie on the 7th hole to go out in 36 shots.  His steady play continued on the back making one birdie and one bogey, good for an even par 35.

Finishing in second place at 1-over 72 was Curtis Goldsberry (The Quechee Club).  David Jankowski and Toby Young (Williston GC) tied for third both shooting 2-over 73.

The highlight of the day came on the third hole, a long par three, where host professional Steve Hosack canned a hole-in-one from 168 yards. The ace was the lone red figure on the hole the entire day.
