RUMFORD, R.I. – The duo of Dan Gillis (Nabnassett Lake CC) and Gregg Richbourg (Cape Cod National GC) along with the pair of Todd Scarafoni (Bass Rocks GC) and Jake Kramer (Bass Rocks GC) combined to card seven-under 62s to capture a share of the 2022 NEPGA Senior/Junior Championship at Agawam Hunt CC on Tuesday, August 30th. The duos edged three groups by one shot: Sean Irons (Fall River CC)/Shane Drury (Button hole Teaching Center), Chip Johnson (Hatherly CC)/Liam Friedmann (Wollaston GC), and Danny Kish (The Atkinson Resort & CC)/ Kirk Hanefeld (Salem CC) who all shared third place.

Gillis and Richbourg began the shotgun on the par-4 seventh hole with a birdie. Three birdies in a row on the par-4 holes 12, 13 and 14 put them at three-under with 10 holes to play. Birdies on 16 and 2 moved them to five-under and an eagle on the par-5 third hole brought the duo to seven-under. They traded a birdie and bogie on the 5th and 6th holes to finish seven-under overall.

Scarafoni and Kramer started the day with back-to-back birdies on the ninth and tenth hole. Birdies on the par-4 15th and 17th holes put them at four-under at the turn. The duo birdied holes one, three and four to finish at seven-under overall for a share of the top spot.

Irons and Drury started on the seventh hole. They carded seven birdies and one bogey to finish at six-under overall and tied for third place.

Johnson and Friedmann started the shotgun on the first hole and made three birdies on the front to make the turn at three-under, 32. Three more bridies on the back, the par-4 10th, 13th, and 17th holes gave them the final six-under overall and share of third place.

Kish and Hanefeld kicked off the round on the 12th hole and carded birdies on four of their first nine holes of the day. Birdies on the par-5 third and fourth holes brought them to the final six-under as they claimed a share of third place.
