WHITINSVILLE, MA. – The New England PGA hosted the 2024 Whitinsville Pro-Am Championship on June 10th at Whitinsville Golf Club, with 27 teams coming to tackle the 9-hole course in the 2 best ball of 4, 1 Gross +1 Net Pro-Am event. Each team completed the course twice, totaling 18 holes.
The tournament concluded with Robert Bruso, PGA from Worcester Country Club emerging victorious in the Individual Professional Division, shooting 1-over, 71. Bruso showcased his prowess with two birdies on the back 9.
Bruso was followed by Todd Scarafoni, PGA, from Bass Rocks Golf Club, who posted an impressive 2-over, 72. Scarafoni started off hot with three birdies through the front nine, coming in at 1-under, 34.
In team play, both Ipswich Country Club and Kirkbrae Country Club carded 12-under, 128, resulting in a two-way tie for first place.
Representing Ipswich Country Club, Nathan Myers, PGA, Matt Connolly, Matt Dario, and John Lynch led their team to victory with 4 eagles and 6 birdies throughout the round.
Jason Howard, PGA, Bill Graves, Tom McCormick, and Derek Audette represented Kirkbrae Country Club, posting a 2-under, 68 on the first nine and finishing strong with a 10-under, 70 on the final nine.
The tournament was also highlighted by Nick Tedeschi, PGA (Granite Links Golf Club), who achieved an albatross on hole 1 (par 5), adding an electrifying moment to the event.
