HYANNISPORT, Mass. – The New England PGA Cape Cod Fall Festival hit the Hyannisport Club on Wednesday where 28 teams led by PGA Professionals enjoyed the second of four days of Pro-Am competitions.
Rich Berberian, PGA, and his team from Vesper CC won the Two Best Ball of Four (one gross, one net) team competition, shooting 9-under par 133 to take a two-stroke victory. The Vesper foursome was 4-under par in a front-nine 66 and played the back-nine in 3-under par 67.
The Allendale CC team, led by Nick Jagoe, PGA, finished in second at 7-under par. Jagoe eagled the par-4 second hole, where the team also picked up a net birdie to play the hole in 3-under par. Brendon Ray, PGA, led the Point Judith CC team to a third-place finish at 6-under par.
Jagoe, Berberian and Ray each finished in the top four in the individual professional competition as well. Jagoe, who shot even-par 71 on Wednesday, was the only player even-par or better, taking medalist honors. He carded three birdies to go along with his eagle and offset five bogeys.
