Fitchburg, Mass. – The New England PGA hosted the Boston Common Golf Pro-Am at Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on Monday, June 29, for a 12:00 p.m. shotgun start. Eighteen teams, each led by an NEPGA Professional, competed in the 2 Best Balls of 4 (1 Gross + 1 Net) format. Thank you to the event’s partners: Boston Common Golf, La Pulga Spirits, and Titleist!
The Bates College team, led by Shawn Warren, PGA, captured the team championship with an impressive 17-under-par 123. Warren was joined by amateurs Ethan Hale, Jack Bagley, and Danielle Rock, who combined for the lowest team total of the day. Danielle Rock highlighted the round with a hole-in-one on the par-3 13th hole, while Warren carded five birdies during his individual round.
The Vesper Country Club team, led by Rich Berberian, PGA, finished runner-up at 16-under-par 124, while the Agawam Hunt team, led by John Simmons, PGA, rounded out the top three at 12-under-par 128.
In the Individual Professional Division, Rich Berberian, PGA (Vesper Country Club) and Liam Friedman, PGA (Wollaston Golf Club) shared medalist honors after each fired a 4-under-par 66 to finish tied atop the leaderboard.
