HAMILTON, Bermuda — Shawn Warren, PGA (Falmouth CC) closed the Goslings International Invitational with a 2-under par round of 68 at Belmont Hills to tie for fourth place at 1-over par for the 54-hole tournament.

Warren went unconscious as he started the back-9 on Thursday with an eagle-birdie-birdie-birdie stretch that had him 6-under par through 13 holes. He came back to Earth over the next three holes with a double-bogey on the 14th and bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes, and finished with his only back-9 pars on the 17th and 18th holes. Warren shot 73 in the first round at Mid-Ocean Club and 72 in the second round at Port Royal GC.

England’s Henry Smart used four back-9 birdies to shoot 67 and win the tournament at 4-under par, two shots clear of Canada’s Derek Gillespie. John Jonas of Jacksonville, Fla., shot four-under par 66 in the final round to jump into third place a 1-under for the tournament, and Dennis Hendershott tied with Warren at 1-over.

Nashville, Tenn., amateur Amory Davis posted the best score of the final round, a 5-under par 65 to catapult himself into a tie for 17th overall. Nick Maccario took low-amateur honors at 4-over par after a final round 69.
