WATERBURY, Vt. – It was raining birdies on Monday at CC of Vermont as the Vermont Chapter made its latest stop on its Pro-Am schedule. Manchester Country Club’s Pete Weatherby won the individual professional competition with a blistering round of 7-under 65, while the home team from CC of Vermont won the team competition at 21-under 123.

COMPLETE RESULTS

Weatherby’s terrific round got off to a fast start after he made an eagle on the par-5 3rd hole, he quickly followed that up with a birdie on the 4th to get to 3-under on his round. After making four consecutive pars, Weatherby capped off his front nine  with a birdie to go out in 4-under 32. His back nine included more of the same as he recorded birdies on 10, 12, and 15 to finish his day at 7-under.

Host professional David Bennett also played fantastic golf posting a round of 6-under 66 which would be good for a victory on almost any other day. He played the front nine to a solid 1-under par and then cruised to a back nine 31 to finish in second place. David Jankowski (Golf Garage VT) finished in third place with a round of 4-under 68.

Country Club of Vermont put on a dominant performance in the team competition making birdie or better on all but four of the eighteen holes en route to a round of 21-under 123. Finishing in a tie for second place were the teams from The Quechee Club and Ekwanok CC led by PGA Professionals Curt Goldsberry and Alex Watson. The low round of the event belonged to Ekwanok CC Amateur Jared Nelson who shot an 8-under 64.
