The temperature was low, the winds were high, but that didn’t stop Lewis White of Candia Woods from firing an even par 72 at Abenaqui CC on Tuesday to capture his 1st NHPGA Low Professional title. White went out in the first group and posted a score that was never overtaken all day. Danny Kish of The Indoor Golf Club was one shot back at 73. Four players tied for 3rd at 75 including Bailey Nangle (Owl’s Nest), Jay Pollini (The Oaks), host Jim Schouller of Abenaqui and Greg Sandell (Golf Club of New England).

Sandell and his crew also bested the field in the the team Gross Competition with a 7 under par 65. Contributing to the victory were Dan Mulkern, Rob MacMillan and David Della Penta. Concord CC’s Matt DeLois along with Jim Cilley, Dan Doyle and Matt Levins finished one shot back at 66. Three teams tied for 3rd at 69.

Danny Kish captained his team from The Indoor Golf Club in Londonderry to the win in the Best Ball Net category at 10 under par 62. Rob Hart, Josh Casey and Rick McIntyre all chipped in for the squad. Two teams tied for 2nd at 63, Cory Mansfield of Derryfield with Scott Kenniston, Scott Linehan and Pete Franggos, also Barry Pearson of Keene CC with Casey Boucher, Jeff Sullivan and Eric Spenlinhauer.

Jay Pollini (The Oaks) cliched the Davis and Towle Player of the Year with his tie for 3rd finish and only one event left. Pollini has been solid all season, highlighted by his Chapter Championship win at North Conway. Cory Mansfield currently holds the 2nd spot followed by Sam Cody in 3rd.

Thanks to Host Professional Jim Schouller, Nate Garland, Superintendent and everyone at Abenaqui for welcoming the New Hampshire Chapter. With two days of rain prior to the event and the windy, chilly conditions off the Atlantic, the course was in perfect condition.
