Burlington, VT – A cold rainy day set the scene for the Larkin Hospitality Pro-Am at Burlington Country Club on Monday. 31 teams from all over the state teed it up this week. Todd Trono and his team of Ross Duncan, Scott Noreault, and Jon Grzych from Williston Golf Club put up a great score of 133 9 – under par to win by two shots. On the Individual Professional side of the leaderboard we had a three way tie at the top with rounds of even par, Steve Hosack (Burlington Country Club), Curt Goldsberry (The Quechee Club) and David Jankowski (Golf Garage VT).
The team game this week was 2 best balls of 4 (1 Gross + 1 Net). Coming in second place behind Williston Golf Club was David Jankowski and his team from Golf Garage VT and David Soucy and his team from New England PGA . Each team shot 135 7 – under. Rounding out the top 10, Alex Sheehey and his team from Country Club of Vermont tied for fourth with Patrick Berry from Dorset Field Club, Sean Toof from The Club at Spruce Peak, and Jason Sherman from The Kwini Club with rounds of 136 6 – under par. Brennan Earls from Vermont National Country Club, Steve Hosack from Burlington Country Club, Curt Goldsberry from The Quechee Club, and Kevin Bennison from Burlington Country Club all tied for eighth with rounds of 137 5 – under par.
After the three way tie for first place in the Individual Professional , Alex Sheehy (Country Club of Vermont) and Patrick Berry (Dorset Field Club) tied for fourth with rounds of 72 1 – over par. Roger King (Sugarbush Golf Club), Matt Arvanitis (Southern New Hampshire University), Kevin Bennison (Burlington Country Club) came in sixth place with rounds of 73 2 – over par. Rounding out the top ten, Josh Upson (Country Club of Vermont), Kellen Peery (Golf Garage VT), and Todd Trono (Williston Golf Club) tied for ninth with rounds of 74 3 – over par.
With the biggest field of the season, the Vermont Chapter would like to thank everyone for playing in the Larkin Hospitality Pro-Am this week.
