Woodlands Country Club is always a challenging test of a players golf game and Monday’s Pro Am was no different. A full field of 20 teams tee’ed it up Monday. It was a cold damp day but the rain held off for the field to enjoy a great conditined golf course.
Despite the weather one professional was able to break par and not suprisingly it was Shawn Warren. Shawn’s lone bogey came on the 2nd hole andhe quickly bounced back with a birdie on the 3rd hole. After making a birdie 3 on the 6th hole Shawn ran off a string of 10 pars to finish with a solid -1 71.
Dan Venizio of Portland Country Club finished 2nd with a +3 75 followed by +4 76 by John Mullen from Woodlands Country Club and David Grygiel of Riverside.
Dan Venizios Portland Country Club’s team of Ed Manganello Andrew Slattery Roger Routh shot a remakable -15 129 to win the Team competition. James Durfee representing Brunswick Golf Club and his team of Matt Cassaro Dan Leary Rich Manning Brunswick finshed in 2nd place at -11 133. Coming in 3rd place at -10 134 was Shawn Warrens team Shawn McCurdy Leo Paquett Chris Telgener.
