Woodlands Pro Am Recap
The Woodlands Club is always a challenge and always in great shape and this year’s Pro Am was no exception. There was a solid field of 22 teams who enjoyed great weather for a fun day of golf.
In the Individual Professional competition Shawn Warren PGA of Old Marsh shot an even par 72 for 1st place honors. There was a 3 way tie for 2nd place with Eric Higgins PGA of Webhannet, John Hickson PGA Northport and Jeff Seavey PGA Goose River all shot +3 75. Finishing in the money in a tie for 5th were Dan Gillis PGA Life Member and David Grygiel PGA Tee N Tee with 78’s.

In the team competition it was a battle between 2 teams from Northport Golf Club. For 1st place. The team of Rob Herron, Mike Knox, Kevin Dains and Rick Cronin shot -8 136 total just one shot better -7 than John Hickson’s team of Randy Berry, Jesse Johnson and Preston Ward.
Finishing 3rd at -6 138 was Goose River ‘s Jeff Seavey’s Team of Mark Wallace, Drew Mertzel, Garrett Hilchey.
Woodland Club’s Eric Pon’s team of Peter Shaw, John Hadwen, John Goodrich ended in a tie for 4th at -5 139 with Eric Higgins Webhannet team of Todd Kirn, Matt Mills, Bob Grassett.
