PGA REACH New England is proud to continue the Operation: PlayDay initiative for our Military Pillar. A series of eight playing opportunities for PGA HOPE New England graduates or current participants will be conducted during the 2026 season.

What is OPERATION: PlayDay?

Operation: PlayDay is a monthly, 9-hole travel playing series for Veterans involved in PGA HOPE New England to connect and compete.

The goal, bring together golfers along with their non-golfing brothers or sisters from all branches of the armed forces that want to learn or play in a relaxed atmosphere, where the focus is camaraderie.

Who can participate in an OPERATION: PlayDay event?

During each event, up to approximately (36-44) players can register on a first come, first served basis. In order to be eligible for the 2026 Operation: PlayDay season, you must be actively participating or a past graduate of PGA HOPE.

Thanks to the support of our Partners, PGA REACH New England proudly creates and executes initiatives dedicated to giving back to the Veteran community. Our foundation will cover the cost of course fees as well as a lunch fee, additional purchases above and beyond those at the facility are at the cost of the player.

2026 Operation: PlayDay Season ~ Player Eligibility Criteria

To ensure fair participation and provide opportunities for as many Veterans as possible, the following eligibility criteria will apply for the upcoming 2026 season.

  1. Consecutive Events Cap:
    1. Participants may not play in more than 3 consecutive Operation: PlayDay events
  2. Season Participation Limit:
    1. Participants may register for a maximum of 5 out of 8 events during the season.
  3. First-Time Participants Priority
    1. Priority will be given to Veterans who have not had the opportunity to participate in an event this season.
  4. Operation: PlayDay Roster Assignments
    1. The Committee shall have the final discretion of all roster assignments.
    2. NOTE: If an individual player registration is approved by the Committee, it will not count towards the aforementioned policies.
  5. Registration Process
    1. Similar to years past, the registration will open one month prior to the day of the event. 
    2. In 2026, we will only be allowing SINGLE player registrants, pairing requests will be considered but not guaranteed.
